Why all in all you're just another brick in the wall

So, faithful readers...knowing what you know about me based on the few, paltry personal details I reveal here on the this worldwide web (ha!), would you guess that I would be a Mean Teacher? or a Nice Teacher? More Glinda the Good Witch, or her wicked western nemesis? Just curious.

  1. Of course you're Glinda! Glinda's the best!

  2. Dawn! You're back! Just the other day I was thinking that I hadn't had a Dawn comment in a while. I missed you! :)

And ha! Thanks for assuming the best of me (as usual). :)

  3. I say you're a bit of both based on the issue at hand.

But always fair as far as issue vs consquences go.

  4. Totally Glinda.

Perhaps with a bit of wicked for when the precisely right moment needs it.

  5. I'm not going to guess, but as a teacher myself for many years, you've got me wondering if my kids see me more as Glinda or the Wicked Witch of the West! I just might have to ask them ...

  6. I've seen the word "prickly" used by someone else to describe you earlier in your blog - and although you weren't thrilled with the description, you didn't exactly disagree. I myself have been known to have a spikey personality - but as a teacher, I think I'd be a good witch. Since this is something you've chosen to do, I'm going to guess you're also a Glinda.

  8. Team Glinda! You seem lovely and reasonable, though as a fellow teacher I know that I turn bad witch when the situation allows... Like yesterday afternoon...LOL

  9. I'm inclined to go with the Western variety. I'm biased of course. And my dear Miss R. in reference to the comment on Rassles blog i said one of the only not THE only, so you my dear may fall into that category, i'm not telling cuz i'm coy, i would point out the fact that i've not given any other internet pals a nickname, you know what i'm saying Charlie Brown...

and i lied, i think more Glinda with just a touch of her evil sister. or was it cousin?

  10. I see you teaching fairly, seriously, and well. Not Glinda at all, because I don't think you're sugary sweet. Not WWW at all either, because I don't think you're a raging bitch. More like the Mayor of Munchkinland, seeing over all the Munchkins and their descendants(if any!)

    I would be the Scarecrow.

  11. I think Glinda. Maybe more Miss Nelson, with a willingness to go all Viola Swamp when you need to?

A couple of days ago, I tried to convince people at my new job that we should use a Wizard of Oz reference to explain something. Great minds think alike!

  12. I've been so busy, Rachel. I always make time to read, but I don't always find time to comment.

    I hope you're doing well, Glinda. :)

  13. I don't think you'll be a mean teacher, but I think you'll be all business. I don't see you getting close to your students. But I may be confused, because you seem more prone to posting annoying moments with your students over the years rather than nice ones.
