Why Apple has perhaps more influence in my love life than it should

To my one loyal reader: I apologize for the lapse in posting. After my initial excitement I'm finding it hard to actually dive into the Diary of Why. I mean, where in the world to start? And then I realized recently that the details of these past traumas that I thought were so indelibly ingrained in my psyche are actually quite sketchy in places. And if there's one thing I'm a stickler for, it's accuracy. So while I'm reviewing my files, delving into the muck and the mire of the past, and taking my ginkgo biloba supplements, I hope you won't mind a brief interlude into my dating present.

For the moment I present you with a list of potential online dating profile headlines, all taken from song titles in my itunes. Although I'm thinking that these are perhaps too brutally honest:
  • Hurt
  • Cry cry cry
  • I still miss someone
  • I want someone badly
  • Seeing other people
  • I'm so lonesome I could cry
  • Blistered Heart
  • Everyone who pretended to like me is gone
  • Half a person
  • Heaven knows I'm miserable now
  • Unlovable
  • Gone for good
  • The celibate life
  • Wish you were here
  • Lost in Boston
  • High & dry
  • I've been let down
  • Runnin' out of fools
  • Edit the sad parts
  • Alone down there
  • Shatter
  • Love/hate
  • Table for one
  • Stumble and pain
  • Crying on Sunday
  • Vacancy

The next few strike me as perhaps a smidgen desperate:

  • Fall in love with me
  • Please please please let me get what I want
  • Somebody's miracle
  • Be my friend

And these maybe a tad defensive:

  • Don't let him waste your time
  • Things that scare me
  • The fear
  • What's in it for me
  • Disillusion
  • Prove yourself

Potentially workable titles:

  • Power of two
  • Needle in the hay
  • Is this love?
  • A summer wasting
  • Wanted man (with appropriate punctuation inserted)
  • Roll with the changes
  • True love waits

I'll leave it to you to guess which one I decided to go with.
